Continue your mastery of the rigid heddle loom and unlock new ways to create pattern on the loom by manipulating the warp yarns by hand! This workshop with cover a variety of finger control techniques including leno, brooks bouquet, danish medallions, soumak, and rya. The addition of these techniques to your weaving toolbox will allow for beautiful lace effects, rich textures, and new ways of adding supplemental weft yarns that will bring your handwoven fabric to the next level.

  • Student Maximum: 12
  • Skill Level and Technique: Weaving, Intermediate
  • Prerequisite: Students must be able to warp their own rigid heddle loom. 
  • Homework: None
  • Supply List: Warped rigid heddle loom, crochet hook, cotton is preferred, 3/2 perle cotton is great in a 10 dent heddle (8” wide), pick up stick, stick shuttle, scissors, yarn for the weft (a range of weights).
